Who We Are
The Hardy Plant Society Middlesex Group is a friendly, enthusiastic group of experienced and less experienced gardeners, who all share an interest in learning more about the many and beautiful varieties of hardy perennials and how to grow them in their gardens. We are all keen to share our knowledge and experience with other members.
The Group meets regularly to hear speakers on a wide range of topics and we also enjoy a varied programme of trips and visits to gardens, RHS shows and places of horticultural interest. We run regular plant sales both for our Members and the General Public.
We have over 100 members and always welcome new ones. You can find information about how to join us here.
We are part of the national Hardy Plant Society which gives our members access to wider range of benefits and expertise.
HPSMG Committee 2020
The HPSMG Committee is elected annually at the Annual General Meeting in February.
Chair:Lynn Ronayne-Belhadj |
Lynn has a great passion for nature, plants and wildlife and is involved with a number of local horticultural societies, including running a Hillingdon U3A garden group. She won best display including best novelty display in Hillingdon in Bloom in 2015 and 2017 and is keen to plant hardy perennials for their variety and colour. |
Vice Chair:Linda Martin |

Treasurer:Carol Elliott |

Membership Secretary:Brenda Armstrong-Prada |
|
Secretary:Brenda Prada |
Brenda joined HPSMG in 2018 and volunteered to be our Secretary in 2019. Her passion for plants and their therapeutic benefits led her into deisgning, hand-crafting and planting up her own stone effect planters to sell locally, as well as as giving up her office life to work as a Plant Nursery Assistant. She hopes the increasing evidence of the physical, psychological, social and environmental well being aspects of growing and nurturing plants will continue to be more widely recognised and encouraged to inspire a greater involvement and passion for planting and growing.

General Members:Pam Parkhurst |
From gardening with grandparents as a child, Pam has been an enthusiastic member of Middlesex Hardy Plant for many years. With a background in event organising and fund raising, she hopes to provide support to the Committee, especially in the organisation of Passionate About Plants 2020. |
